Kayla Garcia is a Registered Psychotherapist working with individuals aged 15 and older. She holds a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Kayla has a particular interest in working with people who feel like they should have things figured out, but still feel unsure of what they actually want. This often shows up as overthinking, second-guessing decisions, or a sense that something isn’t quite right, even if you can’t fully explain why. Sometimes it can also feel like your life doesn’t quite fit the way it used to.
Kayla often works with people who are used to figuring things out on their own. They spend a lot of time in their head trying to make the “right” choice, weighing different options, and thinking things through from every angle. Even with all that effort, it can still feel hard to land on a decision or feel confident in it. Kayla sometimes describes this as the “I have no idea what I’m doing” feeling. Not because things are falling apart but because something isn’t working in the way it used to and it’s hard to know what to do next.
Kayla aims to create a space where clients can be real about what’s actually going on without feeling like they need to have it all figured out first. Therapy focuses on helping you step back from the constant overthinking and understand what’s driving it, whether that’s pressure, uncertainty, or feeling disconnected from what you really want. Instead of forcing quick answers, the work is about giving things enough space to unfold so your decisions start to feel more grounded and more like your own, without second-guessing every step (or at least not as much).
